A Glimpse Into The Multifaceted Career of Beverly Bigwood
Beverly Bigwood, an award-winning artist, recently had her artwork stolen from a Westwood Gallery along with works by Miro, Dali, & Lichtenstein. Her art has been featured in over 100 solo & group gallery exhibitions in the US and Europe, including at Universal Studios and the Palm Springs Art Museum. Beverly has also worked on various commercial projects, such as a menu design for DuPar’s Restaurant and illustrations for a “Coffee en Vogue” publication in Munich. Her artwork has been collected by notable figures like Wolfgang Puck and Senator Henry Waxman and more. She is also involved in philanthropy, having donated her time and art to charities like the LA Free Clinic and the Playboy Jazz Festival. Beverly has created public art projects for the City of Burbank, including animal motifs for a fence and a mosaic tile entryway. She has now returned to her first love of painting with oil on canvas after creating three-dimensional pieces for almost five years.

Beverly was requested to City of Burbank to create, design, and execute over 55 animal motifs for 275 feet of fence & nine corresponding metal gates for “Urban Meadows,” a Public Art Project located on Kling Street.
She then branched into mosaic tile work for another City of Burbank Public Arts Commission for an Olive Street entryway entitled, “Mii Amo.” This 123 square foot passageway was designed and executed with exquisite custom ceramic tiles which include a mosaic waterfall that cascades down the face of the risers. design a mosaic stairs,gates and more.
